I'm in cold war status with the Mezari. I do not see an option to go to peace.



And yet I'm at peace with another empire.



I'm guessing you have to research something, but if that's it why can I offer peace to one empire but not another?



Next.... what do I have to do so I can see resources in the trade screen? I'm guessing I have to be at peace?



An observation - the diplomacy points for trade are so expensive it really cuts down the value of trade in this game. A pity.

The Era 2 tech "Diplomat's Mance" lets you offer peace...



Diplomatic trades can be made with another empire...



- When offering a Truce

- Any time you are at Peace/Alliance

- When offering a Market Ban Removal

You need to research Imperial Coinage in second era in order to trade resources. - It does not require peace.



The reason why you can get peace with one empire, and not another can have multiple reasons. Necrophages can't be at peace, but most likely what has happened is that another faction has offered peace, and you've either accepted, or made a counter offer, that they have accepted. For you to initiate peace negotiations, you will have to research Diplomat's Manse in second era.

And perhaps you didn,t see, that you can change the kind of offers in diplomacy screen ? To the top of your "diplomacy box". There you can change to trade research, ressources and cities. If you researched the necessary tech before...

its because you probably don't have the tech for it and the other peace deal you have was started by the other faction who does have the tech
