The first quest requires 10 pearls, not 20. You can acquire them by exploring ruins and / or waiting until Winter for pearls to surface. But you shouldn't have trouble getting 10 pearls and even building the altar before the first winter, if you use the skyfin to explore.

the 20 are for the skyfin sorry...yeah but they are slow in all..no population means less industry,science,dust,influence...how i can build something? how for example i can rush for megalopolis with no industry/science for the extractors?

Use your skyfin. It extracts better than an extractor. Since all your units are very mobile, you have a good chance of finding some strategics on ruins or quests, then you use the skyfin for the rest. In case you get one the strats in your capital, research extractors for that one and send the fin to extract the other somwhere; I got the megapole in about half the games with them so far.

- With your first settle, look for anomalies, especcially the ones giving extra happiness.

- Get the Skyfin ASAP.

- Try getting luxury resources. Use your Skyfin to suck up wine or another great resource. Your hero and units can scout the region and pick up ruins for dust and pearls.

- Give your hero the flute (+1 movement)

- Optional: research the ruins tech for better finds. In my first game I had bad luck with the first three ruins (all empty) so I decided to research that quickly.

- Don't expand hastily, rather expand your city. Temple of Auriga is a district and the first garths are also cheap. Try getting more production yields into your city.

- Look for good regions to settle, preferably with one or more anomalies with happiness bonus and three villages.

It depends a bit on terrain, but I had no problem with production. In my first game I was able to get the megapole and from then on could produce almost anything quick. Bigger problem was science. I focused a lot on getting luxury resources to keep my population happy or better, fervent. This will also boost production. Try to get the Era 2 luxes booster (faction tech) ASAP, the more luxes you have, the longer they last. It's amazing! Use your Skyfins to keep the luxury goods production going.

A mistake I am making is neglecting garths, in anticipation for building intensifiers and / or waiting for an Allayi governor with zealous hands. It's not a good idea. Getting Garths asap is quite necessary (while still leaving anomalies and deposits empty for intensifiers).

Hello Alberto!

I play co-op with my family and a friend. We allow customized factions.

Here is a customized faction to consider, with the Allayi as the Affinity:

Make Trade Not War -10

Entrepreneur +20

Fast Travelers

Food Efficient

SpendThrifts -5

Westward Ho! +15

This will give you an 80/80.

This Allayi customization allows you to move more each turn (Fast Travelers) to pick up more pearls w/in a turn; largely reduces the expansion de-modifier (Westward Ho!), while feeding your folks more for faster territory growth, among other things (Food Efficient), throw in some extra money per turn (net + from Entrepreneur minus the SpendThrifts), and to help balance out the 80/80 count, you can't declare war on anyone (Make Trade Not War).

Of course, change this around to your liking. For instance, you may want the ability to go to war, then you may want to get rid of the extra coinage. Or, you can get rid of the food or coinage, and add a science per turn boost.

In any case, you can gently amplify/overcome this faction's deficiencies by using the customized faction feature.

Regards,

Marc
