So the linux thread got closed before I could post this but I've found that Endless Legend works almost flawlessly using Windows Steam installed with PlayOnLinux.

I've tested with Ubuntu 15.10 and Fedora 22. The only issues I've found were with sound.

- On Ubuntu the music is choppy, but all other sounds are perfect. I've gone 200 turns without any issue game works. Working on determining if this is a Wine or PulseAudio issue.

- On Fedora 22 I have no sound, on any games not just this one, but this seems to have been an issue with SELinux permissions for PulseAudio.

I'm using a System76 Wild Dog rig with an Nvidia card.

Hope this helps smiley: smile

Thank you. My old rig (dual boot) finally gave out on me and I just couldn't justify the cost of a new Windows license just to play this one game - even though it IS my favorite game at the moment (and pretty high up on the 'all-time' list).

I've found that installing the Wine version 1.8-steam_crossoverhack resolves most if not all audio issues. It also seems to run on most versions of Wine 1.9.5+ but I would wait until the Steam_crossoverhack version comes out before upgrading. I'm using Ubuntu so results may vary depending on the distro but PlayOnLinux has been pretty consistent in the past.

I still don't understand why they don't release a GNU/Linux version, since they already released the Mac one that is a smaller market after all (see Humble Bundle statistics).

Being a larger market in the Humble Bundle Store does not mean it is a larger market. It is more likely that Linux users are more aware of the Humble Store and purchase more from that particular vendor. There are probably other places that Mac users would go first to purchase a game. Same can be said for Windows users. There are more sources available for Windows gaming.

While there are MANY more games being built or ported to linux because of Steam OS, for some games the cost doesn't warrant the effort.
