Is it safe to assume that Ardent Mages’ hero Asalah Arca being labeled as a High Inquistor is a typo and she should in fact be a High Inquisitor, or is a High Inquistor something even more impressive that I don’t know of? According to Chapter 3 of the Ardent Mages’ main quest, “Inquistors know the landscape of pain the way a red spider knows the dunes”, which sounds quite impressive after all.

It might be a lore thing. Could be just a play on the word Inquisitor.

Glad you enjoyed the game enough to pick through all the lore like that! <3

I love the lore – the Endless Universe might be my favourite universe out there! And that is coming from someone who deeply loves The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, etc.

I can’t wait for any new additions to the Endless Universe.

Well, I checked on wikipedia, and- bare with me for a moment-  "quist" is a scandinavian word for a kind of pigeon. So presumably an Insquistor specialises in the dark arts of pigeon-related interrogation: a process so ghastly that it defies the imagination.

Further, the Mages' economy revolves around the construction of vast pillars for focussing energy, which, like all pillars, statues and monuments everywhere, no doubt are favourite perches for pigeons. Perhaps the Inquistors' methods derive from techniques designed to shoo pigeons away from their pillars, or maybe the pigeons themselves absorbed vast torrents of unholy energy from sitting on the pillars and developed sentience.

Sounds plausible. Just imagine the terror of Dust-infused pigeons …

When electricity is out thats how Endless used to communicate.
