Just random thoughts and ideas for the lore or just snippets

I just wondered about certain things in the game´s story and lore, not complaining, just wondering about certain things or just talk about stuff, which might are inrevelant in the big picture. So take most of what i write as more like, neat food for thought, then conplaints about certain things in the lore.

Lets go talk about certain topics:

So, the broken lords ? They are souls bound to armor, by dust, right ? So i thought, is it possible to commision somebody to make a "body armor" for you, and if you die, get ressurected by a broken lord, and bound your soul to your commisioned armor ? Would be possible to imagine, even could exist in lore. So, anything to say to this topic ?

The other one, is too connected to the broken lords. Is that, what happends to a childs soul ? Which get caught in broken lord hands, and their soul get bound to an "adults" armor ? What happends to it ? Are there even children in the populous of the broken lords ? Or they dont care and forces you into an adult, even when you were previously a child ? Or are those poor souls just educated, until you are a normal adult ? I just wondered about this strange idea.

Next is about the argend mages and their, roughly speaking, "masochistic" nature. I thought about, is it possible that if they want to tatoo themself, gonna make it painful as possible or even creating different kinds of "painful" body mods, to just feed on the rage and adreraline of their "culture" ? Too thought about, do they even bother with piercing or bdsm like stuff, or just say: "screw it, lets go torture ourself", sorry if it sounded gross. But really, i can imagine them just going out to BDSM each other in a hotel, geez. Now i wonder if there are any bdsm style hotels in argend mages cities.

The third thing i asked about, whats with the cultist robot, puppets ? I dont know, if they are robots, androids or just damm puppets. So the thing i asked myself, what happends if we gut the connection of a cultist puppet to their queen, or if we create cultist puppet ourself ? What happends with it ? Is it just a body without any intelect, or a thinking being, but has the understanding of a puppet ? (imagine something like chappie out of that one movie). I just wonder, because i only heard them being mind controlled, or just mind commanded by their creator queen.

The forth, on the topic of creating a puppet, is it possible even to create your own cultist puppet ? Just wondering, because most of the units and people of the cultist faction, look like stitched together toy puppets, one even having a motor in their butt. So, would be possible ?

The fith thing is, how did the vaulters/mezari even survived this planet even ? Because, next to all races being fantasy tropes remixed into oblivion, those guys seem the most normal, besides their works looking like if you fused 3d printing art with arctic gear and cyber punk. Heck, they damm chose to live in the arctic, that place is less welcoming then a necrophages bday party. Their couldnt survive this place, by any means. Well, they did used their vaults and basically dig themself under the earth, but still, you need to look up out of your hole to get a glimpse of the planet. Sorry if i went on an tangent.

So the last topic of today: what is with dust, letting necrophages mutate ala tnmt style ? Like, i have read in one heroes backstory, that he was previously a normal necrophage scavanger, but because he got chucked into a keg full of dust, he mutated into his todays form and got a big inteligent bost, which practically made him able to lobotomize his queen and basically governt the place where he lived, How is that possible ? Is that just a quirk of dust itself, or a quirk of those buggers ? I dont know, wanna talk about it here.

So that be all for today, see ya guys and hope you comment on this topic.

You know you bring up some good points and I think I can help with understanding or at least give my personal head-canon on the subject.

Broken Lords: I think the armor commission is kinda how it happens, I imagine they can select their "vessels" and even that other races who decide I wanna be a broken lord could possibly choose one beforehand it just seems like it fits their story

b) as far as children go, as we know the broken lords don't have a normal lifespan anymore, their existence is tied to how long they can leech energy (be it dust or lifeforce) I would think that they have education available, but as far as age classification goes I'm not sure that is an issue.

Mages: I'm almost certian they enjoy BDSM

Cultists: the first cultists I believe were servants to the ageless, sentient robots. The puppet look is thematic to how they were. I think each one has it's own conciousness but that is just speculation, which would imply mind command of the queen. I think this because they have heroes, (heroes being individuals enhanced by dust that gained extra abilites and do not ally themselves with anyone faction).

b) I bet you could create your own, if you had the technology I mean the endless made them,

Mezari/Vaulters: lore wise they came from the dungeon of the endless and had access to anything they found in their, which for all we know may have been advanced technology on aurgia. It's also important to note that we imagine them just living on their own with some minor factions, but major factions do intermingle even if we dont see it in this game. I think I read somewhere that the vaulters have interbred with some races on aurgia which made them a stronger race for it but I can't cite that as of now.

Necrophages: that might be both, dust can have a wide variety of effects it creates buildings, food, gives you superpowers it is a supersubstance. We don't know a lot about necrophage physiology except that they are widely vaired. Look at your 3 unit tpes, your heroes and your leader they are all very different in form to one another. I think it would be safe to say theya re adaptable but who can really say.

The Vaulters had to survive in endless underground complexes of labs (or should I say in endless dungeon), which made them resilient enough to withstand anything waiting for them on the surface.

So you are saying, vaulters made their home inside the mega labs of the endless, which are those dungeons in "dungeons of the endless" ? Could make sense, but i still wonder, why they chose those places ? Because of being basically free homes, or there is a deeper meaning ? The other thing with the vaulters that wondered me, why did they chose the arctic as their "home biome" ? The arctic is preety unwelcoming for a human, would rather take the more mediterean biome.
