On the 1.6.2 Release, the say 

• Added a notification when playing a new faction for the first time (Kapaku only, for now).

Can we expect that newer factions will come to the game?

It means that the same notification will eventually be extended to all factions in the game, regardless of wether or not new factions are added later.

Given how it was worded, I wouldn't say dreams are crushed! Just to not expect anything from this information or get your hopes up too high, until they actually say there won't be anything more which I haven't seen yet.

If I recall correctly the question was brought up during the stream and was answered along the lines of that Amplitude enjoyed working with NGD studio, and if given the opportunity wouldn't mind working with them again.

So it sounds like it all hangs on NGD whether we'll see more content or not.
