I was playing endless legend and realized, if we were to return to auriga or more content from auriga came to say endless space 2, which faction would most likely have the highest chance of surviving auriga's apparent eternal ice age that happened in endless legend.

I think it would be the drakken, according to their lore, they have existed since as far as the endless, meaning they have survived all the catacylsm's and disasters auriga threw at them since. throughout dungeon of the endless and up to endless legend, and even then there were signs that the drakken may infact be evolving to adapt to the coming ice age as seen in researcher namkang's info box who is apparently more resilient to the cold than most drakken. so of all the factions, i think the drakken have the best chance of returning in a future installment of the franchise.

What faction do you think has the best chance of returning.

I would probably say the kapaku, morgawr, mykara, and the silics. These factions live in either deep underground or deep in the ocean. Great places to get away from the ice apocalypse above.

Broken lords as well maybe? Although lore-wise they need to consume life forces of sentient beings to extend their lives, but they can maintain population with dust, which I don't think an ice age would get rid of entirely. So I'd say that they should be fine.

i sadly dont think so, from what i can tell from the lore, the broken lords were on the brink of extinction when they learned to drain dust from living beings and that brought them back up, but now with nearly all of the living beings gone and the survivors in hiding or isolation from the eternal ice age, i dont think even the dust from the planet will be able to save them this time.

Haunts maybe? Eslek Tarosh somehow managed to survive a couple of apocalypses.

There was Keldron Bor in Endless Space 1, but that hero was more of an easter egg than a canon confirmation of Broken Lords surviving the death of Auriga.

and he did not appear in es2, which is a reboot of es1, making all information from es1 obsolete and unreliable.
