well you can't just assume that. the vaulters seem fairly peaceful and not the type to destroy all alien ships leaving the planet. there are also a number of minor faction and faction undisclosed heroes in endless space that could possibly originate form Auriga but never established a powerful empire. There might even be factions that left for unknown galaxies beyond the one in endless space. there was a small discussion about a possible hero link between endless legend and endless space in the quest GDD so you might want to look at that.

The combined, interweaving (or, in some cases, separate) story of Endless Space, Dungeon of the Endless and Endless Legend isn't linear.



You seem to assume that this story is a strict progression of couse to effect, but actually, from nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint it's more like big bowl of wibbly-wobbly, spacey-endlessey... stuff.
