Gameplay of Endless Legends

I just have some ideas about this highly anticipated, secretive game. There are 2 games coming out in the next few days that are similar to Endless Legends, in the Fantasy strategy genre, and they make use of some excellent, fun elements of gameplay that I would love to see in Endless Legends.



The first game is Warlock 2: The Exiled (can be found on youtube under quill18's videos): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpBMZKE3irc



I thought the following 4 elements of the game were great, and it would be amazing to see them in Endless Legends:



1) great variety of hero characters/ civilizations. It looks like Endless Legends is on the right track with the unique Vaulters and Wild Walkers factions. I hope to see many more.

2) a unique plane/ world traveling gate system. It would be cool to have multiple planets that players race to explore and expand. Spaceports and cleared landing zones on planets can be used like the gate system to travel between planets setting up a choke point in a way. It would be cool to see multiple world games!

3) interesting zodiac alignment play styles that provide special abilities and skills based on your allignment. There are 8 dieties each related in a circular grid and each act you do pulls you closer towards 1 side of the circle and away from dieties on the other sides.

4) A unique research tree that works as follows. In order to unlock the 2nd tier of the research you need only research 5 of 8 elements in the 1st tier for one branch (magic spells) and 3/7 for another branch (domain enhancements). And so on and so forth. I think it makes it more interesting for various research opportunities

I thought the following 3 elements of the game were great, and it would be amazing to see them in Endless Legends:



1) Awesome battle system that lets players manage armies up to size 6 and control each combatant in a unique map grid army battle scenario.

2) Battles can contain up to 3 armies for the enemy and player side (so 6 total) based on grid location of nearby armies. This would be cool to see play out

3) Items can be discovered throughout the world that can be equipped on heros



Finally, an element that is not in those 2 games, but I would like to see is that units get weaker as they are injured. For example, a fully healed warrior can do 8 damage, but if he is at half health he will only do 6, and at 10% health he will do 3. Someway to scale damage down as units are injured make the game seem more realistic, I feel. Kind of like how they do in Civilization 5.



I know some of these ideas are probably not implementable, but I think it would be a good idea for the development team to at least check out those videos and see the game elements that I described in action. I am very excited for this game, and these are just some of the ideas I would love to see implemented. I already know that quests will be added to Endless Legends and I am super excited for this! Go Amplitude Studios!! You guys rock and keep up the great work.

forthe assisting part, they already had a playtest contest and in the future will probably have community competitions similar to the ones in DotE and endless space before that.
