Why the two editions: classic & founder?

Many of our players asked us a way to financially support us, so we created the Founder Pack, and we added a few tokens of our appreciation in it, as it really really helps to push the quality of our games.



Yet, we also want to keep the price on our Classic Pack lower than most games in the genre to reduce the price barrier, to encourage new players to come discover our games. If we had only one edition, I guess the price would be somewhere in between the price of our two packs.



To summarize one accessible pack and one pack to help and support us even more and help us make great independent strategy games.



Discount

The 25% discount will be available for the entire Alpha!



Upgrading to the Founder Pack

Not available. We will look into it but cannot promise if/when it will happen.



Founder Pack bonuses

As mentioned on the Steam store page, those will be available at the release of the game (or earlier): that includes the soundtrack, the Ice Wargs minor faction and Namkang Drakken hero. Your game will automatically receive those through a Steam update.



Supported languages

English only at the moment, and we'll add French and German localizations later. We'll see about other languages as some of these require special characters that we don't have in the current font we are using. But we also know that Russian is high on our priority list, as we have a very strong Russian community.



Platforms

Endless Legend is available both on Steam but also on our website (where you will get a Steam key). It is PC only at the moment but we plan on adding Mac & Linux versions at some point and we will let you know when it is ready. By the way, you won’t need to purchase the game again on Steam if you already own the PC version!

How shall I proceed?

If you encounter an issue that is not in the list below, please send us a Dropbox link (or equivalent) with:

• Issue - Describe your issue: it's simple and it helps us understanding what you want us to fix
• Specs - Share your specs with us! Your OS, screen resolution, etc.
• Version - What is the game version? You can find this out in the game menu, at the bottom left of the screen

GAME DESIGN



Is it Fantasy if there are no spell books?

Our take on the genre is that you don't need to spam fireballs to create a fantasy environment, and our world is filled with a lot of things definitely out of the ordinary. And who tells you that we won't have magicians? maybe not all factions are good with casting spells



Espionage?

We don't have an espionage system planned at the moment. The main reason being that if we do it, we don't want to it be an afterthought. The game being already so rich, we don't have the capacity to offer an espionage system we would be proud of for the final release.



Naval battles?

Today we don't have any plans for sea battles.



Hotseat?

The game has been designed with simultaneous turns in mind, to add hotseat would mean quite a bit of work, and that would be detrimental to other aspects of the game, again we need to focus for now.



Spring and Fall seasons?

There are only two seasons on Auriga

Our goal is to make sure that there is a strong contrast between the two seasons, making those moments more dramatic and with more impact in terms of gameplay.





MISC



Steam CD keys – What should I do with them?

The keys that will pop up when you launch your game are for the Amplitude Studios website. You need to create an account [http://www.amplitude-studios.com/user/login] and redeem them on your profile: they will unlock forums awards and G2G points. Please visit the FAQ on our website [http://www.amplitude-studios.com/FAQ].



How often will the game be updated?

Updates will come regularly and hotfixes will come as often as needed. We track all blockers as high priority and once we verified our fixes it will be shared very quickly. Now regarding games additions, upgrades and new features, between 1 and 2 updates a month.



When are you planning to release the game?

The game should be released within 6 months, if all goes well.



Do you plan on adding Steam Achievements, Cloud & Trading Cards?

It is not in our planning for now, but we did it fairly quickly on Endless Space, so there is hope to get it in time for release.
