First off, you have exceeded all expectations. After the disappointments that were Fallen Enchantress, Warlock and WoE I'd finally come to terms with the idea that no fantasy 4x built from scratch would ever surpass the Civ4 mod Fall from Heaven. And you guys have just proven me wrong.



Actual comments:

- love the battle mechanics. Most of these types of games are ruined in battles from having to individually move each unit forward a turn at a time and hit the same attack button over and over, but you guys have found a way to keep the strategy without it being tedious. Having said that, I did find that my units sometimes got stuck behind cliffs and just stood there rather than finding ways to get closer to the enemy (usually when the way up the cliff required moving backwards away from the enemy) and this meant that they'd sit back away from the combat while other units were slaughtered.

- I'm not 100% clear on how large a city can sprawl by the end of the game with buroughs so couldn't tell which surrounding tiles I might be able to use at some point and which ones I'd never reach. Not sure if you could show some kind of maximum radius when choosing where to place a city.

- I really like the current pacing of the game.

- I couldn't figure out how to peacefully pacify minor races. On this point, I think quests should provide some information on the mechanics required to achieve their goals (so the quests to assimilate a minor race could explain the various ways this could be done)





But overall I am really impressed. Thank you to everyone who has been working on this!

To peacefully pacify minor faction you have to research the tech 1 "Bribe and Parley" that will let you... bribe and parley

If you bribe, then you get the village. If you parley, you have a quest to fulfill.
