First of all let me say that I really enjoyed.

I had a bad time doing quests with multiple steps, I didn't get much far in the Faction quest either. The correct Ruins were signaled anyway and I just didn't found them for some quests, for other I meet all the requirements but the ruins were still grey. Anyone else had similar problem? This was the only annoyance I found in this alpha so far.

At the moment, is it possible to assimilate more than 1 minor?

I played with the necroinsects dudes and combat wise it was very easy for me. I never saw the AI using heros. Is this normal?

Is the cost of a science mainly determined by the amount of already acquired techs or by the era?

I researched all first era techs, which I than realized was a mistake, but I'm wondering how much of a mistake...

when a minor village is destroyed in a neutral region, does it stay destroyed for ever?

The auto allocation of workers seemed to make weird choices. How does it work?

Some quests do have a time limit, e.g. ones where you loot multiple ruins in succession to get increasing rewards. The main quest shouldn't, though. Maybe there was a prerequisite like having 5 units in the heroes' army, before you can finish the quest at the ruin?

It is possible to assimilate up to 3 minor races, I believe, given that you research the necessary techs out of later ages.

The AI right now is still very dumb. That really needs improvement.

As far as I understood the science gdd, it is supposed to be determined by the amount of already acquired techs, so researching all techs of the first era can be a mistake.

If a minor village is destroyed, anywhere, any player settling there can rebuild it. Otherwise it stays dead.

I'm not sure how it works, now. I would recommend putting your people to work by yourself, any time you get a new population point, at least.

Thank you for your answer.

Concerning quests, the faction quest, told me to come back when I had collected 100 dust, which I already had, but I collected new from other ruins anyway. Still those ruins stayed grey for ever...

Another quest involved coming back to the "initial ruins" with a special sword equipped and 2 troops, but when I got the sword (required a 3 era strategic resource) no ruins was marked as active...

you can pin the quest and then click the arrow button to take you to the ruin for that quest. Pin quest you do in the quest menu. Then in game screen on top right you have active quest and you click the arrow in lower right corner of quest window.

There were no arrows in the lower right corner... The quests were the second step of "The legend of the three" and also the second step of "A madman's dream"

See attached picture. Lower right of the quest window box that is in top right corner of main screen when a pinned quest.

I ran into this issue before, both on main faction quest and the sidequest involving lv4 infantry hero - the exact same ruin that was the quest marker (even had a ray of light and stuff) simply wasn't active anymore and there was no waypoint shortcut on the quest dialog box.

Definitely a bug.
