Well, people are asking about the basic mathematics of the game and I'm curious as well.

So let me start with the simple question:

How is the formula for population needed per burrough?

According to Meedoc, the number of burroughs that can be built, for everyone but the necrophages, is number of population divided by 2, rounded down. http://steamcommunity.com/app/289130/discussions/0/540739861418723457/#c540739861483612078

For necrophages it is simply one by population.

+1 for this general idea.

This is a screenshot of the help screen in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, probably my favourite game of all time (Endless Legend is the first game in a long time which is a for that spot!) -

I know it's in alpha, but I would implore the devs to implement something like this - an in game 'wiki' of sorts, clarifying mechanics which aren't explained by tooltips.
