bought hero does not appear

Hi everyone,

during my first game I bought a hero at the marketplace. After paying it just never appeared in the game :/ Why!?

Did you assign the hero to an army or a city?

If you have an army or city without a hero, you can assign it by clicking on the empty hero portrait, than choosing your new hero.

well how can I asign it when it does not show up anywhere? All I did was paying for it at the marketplace and after that it was gone from all menues ...

The menu popping up which heroes you have in the pool is only showing up when you actually try to assign one.

An example:

Just started a game, here's my standard hero. I unassign her from my starting army.

Now I select my city and click on the assign hero button.

Then I get a screen where I can see all my unassigned heroes and can assign them.

Doing so, I just made my army-leader into a governor. Works the same for armies.

If you bought that hero, just try assigning it. If it isn't there when you bought it, report it as a bug.

You helped me out a lot there! Now I understand how it works. Some things about this game are a bit tricky to figure out imo.

Also note that you cannot assign them to a city under siege, neither can you unassign them if they're are governor in a city under siege.
