Hi guys, first time for me posting here so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Can someone explain to me why i can not remove the temple ruins to place my city.

When i try to remove it, it tells me that i have already explored the area, but i cant remove it to put down the city.

Im probably just a noob and its soothing obvious but i would rally appreciate if someone could help smiley: smile

In this game temples/ruins are permanent, think of them the same as a mountain region. They act as quest hubs, and later in the game you can research to explore all of them again.

Oh, thats sort of annoying as my capital is adjacent to a ruin so i cant build an extension street there...so is it better to settle away from them for max city tiles?

It depends. If next to ruins are awesome anomalies etc then by all means, build your city next to it.

In game you are able to increase the city yield-area size by building improvements (on map called "district", in building queue - b-something street), one for each 2 population (Necrophages can build for each population point).

Each district you can place next to any other, and it increases the yield-area by 3 hexes next to the new district.

If you put districts in such a manner that one touches four other districts, it will gain a level and increase it's +yield bonuses. However only once, as max district level is 2 (for Cultists - 3).

In normal game you'll build 5-8 districts per city max.

TL;DR;

Just build the city on your settler. smiley: smile It's smiley: fids yield is ok.

BTW. Broken Lords are not the easiest race to start with, I strongly recommend playing as either Wild Walkers or Vaulters to learn the game basics.
