In Early Access, there are a few hidden techs that can be discovered by quests or ruins.



ERA 2

Exotic Alloys - unlocks Tier 3 Titanium and Glassteel weapons

Exotic Armor - unlocks Tier 3 Titanium and Glassteel armors

Exotic Filigree - unlocks Tier 3 Titanium and Glassteel accessories



ERA 3 or 4 - I think, not too sure

Augmented Extractor - boosts Dye, Spice, Wine, Emerald and Gold Extraction by 1 on extractor



Are there any more such techs, is there a list somewhere?

Somewhat related to that are a number of faction-specific techs you only get through advancing the faction quest-line, as well as the wonder at the end of it for all factions.



And of course, a number of items you can unlock through quests, even if there is no technology attached to it.

I'm sure I had the Augmented extractor in era 1.



Also I've had tier 3 adamtium weapons before..not sure if it was a quest or ruins

In the first successful game that I played through to completion (Wild Walkers), I had tier 3 mithrite and hyperium weapons and armour techs.

Here are the weapon and armor techs I've seen during gameplay (not counting individual items):



Exotic Alloys (tier 3 titanium and glassteel, grouped with Era II)

Exotic Armor (tier 3 titanium and glassteel, grouped with Era II)

Exceptional Alloys (tier 3 adamantian and palladian, grouped with Era V)

Exceptional Armor (tier 3 adamantian and palladian, grouped with Era V)

Puissant Alloys (tier 2 mithrite and hyperium, grouped with Era VI)

Puissant Armor (tier 2 mithrite and hyperium, grouped with Era VI)



Not 100% sure that these are the eras you have to be in to see the techs as quest rewards; the eras listed above show where the techs appear on the research screen once you obtain them. There may be more answers in the xml files.
