This thread is meant be what it says up top: a heap of links about how to play Endless Legends (and maybe some lore and sundry) for noobs, permanoobs and pros to get and share. Since my first game save of 11/16/2014 I’ve looked around and couldn't really find one place that had a great deal of stuff in, well, one place. These here forums have much of what anyone could want, tis true, but it can take a fair amount of digging. So this will by nature be an exercise in redundancy. (A fact we can only hope to face with courage.) Perhaps it will be useful for one looking to move more quickly through the learning curve of this fine game - a hill from which to chart a course through the Endless worlds…
Suggestions for links are warmly invited. I will return as time allows to update this index post with your suggestions. Thank you for your interest and/or suggestions. So, with glad and grateful hearts, here we go:
The Wiki note: needs love, though there has been more of that lately thanks to some heroic anons. I did get the guy on Steam to invite me and it was all good. (In case they still have that initiation ritual in place.) But you can post without registering.
The fine print: I chose the strategy thread bcs most of what’s in here is about how to play the game (effectively). But I want to include some other links and findings about things like lore, which would belong in another part of the forums. I decided against splitting these items out into another thread to foster the main purpose, to have much in one spot. I hope this is not too great a sin against the spirit of the forums. Some info will be out of date, bcs our fine devs support their games with frequent patches, updates and free content. Will try to vet suggestions somewhat. I may try to shoe horn a FAQ in the placeholder below, but the likelihood/quality of this is unknown. Kinda like the Endless, that - mysterious. PS - Did I mention that I really love the spirit of this game & what it's doing with 4x? Yep, I love this game.
