Hey everyone!


You might have guessed from the numerous hints we've been dropping on our forums and elsewhere, or even the fact that we are currently holding a closed beta, we've got some cool stuff coming up in the next update! Coming out Thursday, November 16th, Endless Space 2: Galactic Statecraft will include numerous new features, balance changes, and reworks of existing features, all designed for a more immersive experience in the Endless universe.


We will showcase some of these features all throughout next week, and of course, we will have our traditional launch stream on Thursday at 5PM CET to give you a taste, just before the update drops. Don't forget to tune in! If you like, you may follow the channel already to get notifications when the stream goes live.


It would be unfair to just say "the update is coming!" without giving you at least a hint of things to come, so without further ado, here's a glimpse of Galactic Statecraft:

And the best thing is? All of this is coming to Endless Space 2 for free! Join us next week as we'll dive into the most exciting features!

*Raises Hand* I would like a "little pony" minor faction that adds grassy medows to every planet (regardless of type) and changes all planet rings to rainbows.

This can be a great add! Improved alliances, diplomacy, pirate lairs... all sounds very good.


...By the way, when are you going make the fight more fun? Because now it's like: ship 1 shoot to ship 2 during two minutes, ship 2 explodes, the end.

Need more interactivity, i think.

Je suis impatient de voir le nouvel equilibre des echanges commerciaux et des evenements. (entre autre)
En commencant de lire j'ai de suite imaginer une DLC facon Crusade de GalCiv3. et je commencais a m'agacer d'avance.

Mais j'ai lu jusqu'au bout et là je dis bravo !! Moi aussi je vais peut etre enfin pouvoir reccomander fièrement le jeu et le studio francais qui le devellope.

Beginning to read I immediately imagine a DLC way Crusade of GalCiv3. and I began to annoy myself in advance.
But I read to the end and I say bravo!! I too may finally be able to proudly reccomande the game and the French studio that devellope it.

Anyone know what they mean by "retake" when they mention Weapon and Pressure retake? Does that mean re-balancing those systems?

Sounds like a great idea, diplomacy wasnt the base game's strongest area. Really gald to see you guys working more on ES2. Hopefully we could see the inklings of a paid expansion soon? :)

Retake means we're not just balancing features, but also modifying the way they work. It's basically "revamp", but in sexy, suave French devspeak instead.
