Hey everybody,

Have you ever found yourself returning to the same settings time and again, all your games following familiar paths? Are you looking to extend your time in the Endless universe, but don't want to return to the same old sights? Then the Community Scenarios might be for you!

Every month, we will share saves and settings (and sometimes story) for our games meant to provide interesting challenges to seasoned players and newcomers alike. You can enter a hall of fame for each Scenario, or just share your experiences and discuss strategies.

Hot Summer Stars

Since the unification, the patriots of the empire have prospered on Raia. Claims of open oppression and secretive “cleaners” are nothing but slanderous propaganda by pretenders and envious neighbors. Yet our people itch for new shores. They want to stake a claim on their own paradise. We will prove the naysayers wrong by building an empire where every citizen shall find their place in the sun.

In this scenario, we are pitting the United Empire against several custom factions created by the the Amplitude team. Resources are scarce but colonizable systems are reasonably plentiful. How quickly can you win a Conquest Victory while maintaining Ecstatic empire approval?

The Larvae (Jhell, Game Designer)

Very busy workers, the Larvaes never stop being active, to the detriment of social activities like trade or being nice to other factions. To them, they just represent additional matter to be consumed in their great machine.

Mavros Humanoid Asset Division (Schell, Game Designer)

There are two endeavors the Mavros value above all else: Science, and blowing stuff up (not necessarily in that order). Their "contracted" workers aren't quite as eager for this, nor are they particularly happy about the safety violations.

One Yet Many (Oriolie, Game Designer)

The Umbral Choir grows: they grow a lot. They need to settle on a new planet. And another one. And another. They do not want to destroy, though, so they stay hidden and avoid confrontation. All they want is to spread across the galaxy and coexist.

Peace Robots (MonAmiral, Gameplay Programmer)

Managing a war requires a very complex algorithm which has not been implemented in these robots. This results in them completely focusing on their own development while ignoring the other empires until they get attacked and inevitably wrecked.

Mezari Remnant (The-Cat-o-Nine-Tales, Community Manager)

Survivors of yet another lost Mezari expedition, these people have been led to greatness by their captain. As a minor side effect of millenia of successful rule, she is now seen as a virtual God-Empress, and Her will is law.

You can join us next Friday, July 5th, at 4:00PM CEST for a stream of this scenario.

Remember, the submission form for your own Endless Space 2 scenarios is still open. For the time being, we will only feature individual scenarios in the Community Scenario blogs, but we hope to improve our ways of sharing these scenarios with you.

Have fun,

Strange,it says "you need 0 of 0 planets to win",even at turn 1.

Now i am at turn 116,owning 17 systems and having 2 allies, but still no progress.

How to win?

Hey SupremeSoul,

there's a bug in the save game (I noticed this myself during the Stream on friday) caused by me meddling with it to get a good scenario. I think I have found a solution, but I need some more time to test it. I will try to upload a fixed savegame (and instructions for fixing the bug in your own saves) tomorrow.

Oh man, I lost on turn 1!

How do you get to ecstatic on turn one?
I do not think this challenge is possible with the contraints placed on the victory condition.

I am not sure if you're just joking, but let me clarify: The Ecstatic Approval is to be considered a victory condition like any other. You have to reach it to win, rather than "you lose if you don't have it." The word "maintain" was only used to contrast with the strain of the overcolonization penalty.
