Sleepers are very slow moving, slim and fragile humanoid creatures with a thin, almost entirely transparent skin and visible electric discharges in their neural circuits. They live much more in their imagination than in reality, however, they strive to turn reality into their imagination - even the reality of other species.

Despite that they communicate through electromagnetic waves generated by their nervous systems and thus maintain a collective, harmonised conduct, they are also diverse individuals who produce their own, colourful artistic and scientific artefacts which, in the end, are useful for all the members of this complicated society and moves it forward in evolution.

Kirit

Home realm to Sleepers, Kirit is quite a dangerous planet, especially because of electromagnetic energies of lethal magnitude whose presence results in storms, anomalies and unnatural, rapid deformation of the planet surface. 

Kiritians were another threat; the most powerful dwellers of the planet, a species of pure energy, but Sleepers learned how to survive and utilise the various powers and threats of their home. 

Sleepers invented an implantation of gelatinous consistence that suits their vulnerable body and enables them to consume energy from living and non-living sources alike so as to enhance their telepathic capabilities. 

The Virus

To conquer entire planets and star systems, the Sleepers developed a virus whose attributes need to be adjusted in accordance with the structure/biological features of the target species so that the expected effect can be achieved. To complete the adjustment, a thorough investigation of the target life form is required.

This virus slowly - sometimes really fast, though - pacified every intelligent entity they encountered so far, made them sensitive to the Sleepers' telepathic streams and so prone to mind-control. After infecting entire planets, It was possible for the Sleepers to broadcast make-believe into the minds of their casualties who felt utter happiness thinking that they live their ultimate dreams. Sooner rather than later, Sleepers could enter a diplomatic relationship with all of their enemies, systematically take control of their government, military power and society and use them to their own advantage until the virus finally - as a known side effect - eliminated the infected specimens.

This procedure always works.
