Has a malicious tinge to it, as the revenants in European folklore were similar to the standard zombie idea, but they could be neutral (or altogether different in morality like the Harmony) and just creepy in appearance. The plural case is optional, since it could be used for a gestalt consciousness called the Revenant or for a faction of individuals.
