They are of a vesitigial nature; scarcely encountered, they are either dismissed as a momentary illusion or are so overbearing in their single encounter, they instill a deep paranoia.
Their goals are tangible but seemingly extraordinary. They reap an existing infrastructure unique to their forms by the guidance and exploitation of other races.
Although not openly hostile, they are powerfully insistent and impress this upon those that go against their goals. They are deeply invested in the collection of knowledge most of all.
Their interaction with the universe is continually unstable and makes them liable to unexpected injury or discovery. This manifests an increase in strange anomalies or events which could have negative or positive impact on those involved. They can offset this instability through a sort of ritual.
The Paradox are not wholly independent from sustenance. Their xenobiology (if it is possible to be assigned) is flexible upon the resources around them.
The only observable trait of their own society is their unique ability to relay information from one entity to another almost instantaneously. For this reason, they are often abroad and regularly alone.
