I realize that there are other "void" based entries but I kind of had this in mind since the wraith was voted on so there we go.

The Void (collective name for the species) has existed for longer than any of the sucessors of the Endless could imagine.  Before there were planets, before there were stars even, the Void has drifted through the blackness of space.  It has watched the very settling of the universe.  Thousands upon thousands of stars haved blossomed in their nurseries and exploded in great firey conflagrations under its unending watch. It has seen countless species, sentient or otherwise, rise and fall without its presence being even just an idea in those that wished to control or dominate space.

Until the Endless.  

The dust fueled Endless Empire noticed a flicker of life between the stars.  In their quest to control all life the Endless sent expititions into the shapeless Void searching for more life to pervert. The Void had never wilingly sectioned itself off before, such a thought was abhorant, but even the Endless were a threat that could not be ignored. Thus the Void Born were formed.  Even a small section of the larger Void possessed life capable of independent thought.  These Void Born agents spread through the Endless Empire doing what the Void does best, watching and waiting.  In the end the Endless were blind to the truth that floated between their worlds and behind every one of their leaders.  The Endless fell before they could interfere with the Void. Most of the Void Born returned to the collective, becoming part of the whole again. However some remained to watch the species left abandoned by the endless more closely. 

As the successors to the Endless flirt with Dust, the Void Born send warnings back to the collective that once again they must act.  This time it may take more than watching and waiting to ensure the Void survives.
