Huginn was one of Odin's two ravens who flew daily over all the worlds of Norse mythology to gather news and on return whisper the news in Odin's ears. Huginn and the other raven, Muninn, are in a way the spies of the arch-god Odin.

Furthermore, Hugin translates into 'thought'. A leading theory on the 'origin of consciousness' is information integration. Some neuroscientists believe that when information from different sources is integrated (like in the brain) consciousness arises as a rule of thumb. A Wraith as a corporal being could be a being of pure information integration, which fits the espionage part well. This information integration leads to consciousness and is thus in a way the embodiment of 'thought' (Huginn).

The Huginn(s) are not good or bad, they only want to aquire knowledge to add to their being. They will, however, eliminate everyone standing in their way by political means (espionage included) or by force.
