Where did they come from?. With their bodies they must have been born on some gas planet or dark space. Their bodies evolved to mimic space itself?

Perhaps long ago when they came to be, they would look into the universe. It was the most beautiful thing they have seen and decided they would mimic parts of it to become beautiful themselves. Eventually they noticed planets and systems being destroyed and investigated it.  The found other race whom would fight over control and even destroy their Eden. They took their forms and learned that they could not dissuade them. Eventually they decided to sabatage them to eliminating themselves faster and less harm to the universe by taking high ranking places in the other races governments. 

The Aeterna fleet was ready to launch to finish off their weakened enemies, but an accident revealed an agent and a method of revealing them. The only information found from the new races was just a description the old races described as Aeterna; Eternal Night was all they saw.
