It's basically the Horatio version of exploration ship, which really is in line with that ship class being just called revealer, and also makes sense given that its name's probably rushed given what happened to the last exploration ship, which had a highly complex name, drawing from decades of Horatio history and all it's mission, but since that's gone they just went with "Explorer in Horatiospeak" for the replacement.
