As the title suggest, my custom Riftborn race is not getting anything out of the Hyperium resource deposit with the tech plasma metallurgy  unlock from the beginning of the game.

And the exact same thing happened to RIftborn too. 

I see this as well. 

Note that this only appears to happen if you have both Titanium AND Hyperium mines unlocked as starting bonuses.

• If you have only hyperium, it works.
• If you start with the tech for Hyperium or if you get it later, it doesn't matter; that hyperium resource won't get used if you have Titanium as well. 

Oddly, it doesn't just happen with custom factions; it also happens with the base version of Riftborn as well.

Wrong.

Riftborn starts with Plasma Metallurgy only, and can't harvest it.

When I unlock Xenolinguistics I will get Titanium, but still no Hyperium.

can someone confirm if it is the starting hyperium that is bugged or hyperium in general?

Seems like a bug in general. Started without Plasma Metallurgy with vanilla Vodyani, researched it, colonized a system with Hyperium but got none of it.

Someone should try the new preview 1.0.3 beta branch and see if it is fixed.
