I'm playing in an exceptional size galaxy with 12 players and on turn 161 planing as the Unfallen, when an election happens I can't get passed the second screen the next button does nothing and skipping does nothing.

Same thing here.  

Late game the end-of-turn bookkeeping reeeaaaaally bogs down and every election gets bogged stuck doing nothing.   I usually have to alt-f4.

This is a game-breaker for me.
