When in multiplayer lobby, the game will not allow you to select a custom faction, it will select the custom faction for about half a second and switch you back to Sophons. This is a bit annoying as I encouraged my friend to create a custom faction as well as me but then both we couldn't play as custom factions.

(Yes the slider is set to allow them, otherwise they do not show up on the dropdown list)
