Not gathering Strategic Resources even though have technology to gather

This is a random bug that keeps showing up in various games and there's no rhyme or reason for how this occurs. I can see it show up in the same game (saved the game at turn 1) and it's different depending on actions taken (what laws are in effect, when a colony is founded, what designs on ships, etc). It seems that some strategic resources refuse to be gathered even if you have the technology to gather them (very noticeable with both Titanium and Hyperium) and you have a colony on a planet that has said resource (in the game I have saved, I have a colony on a planet that has both Titanium and Hyperium and have both technologies, but only the Titanium is being gathered).

If one of the Devs sees this, let me know how I can get a copy of saved game to you for you to look at it.

To "prevent" this bug, you can choose fixed version (right click on game in steam list -> properties -> beta).

GeForce Card = preview - 0.3.1

AMD Radeon = fixamd - 0.3.1

Had this bug among many others since release. Just installed "preview - 0.3.1" and it will not go beyond the start screen. Both "Quick Start" and select your own starts lock up in load screen after bar gets about 2/3 of the way across screen.

I am experiencing this bug. I researched Crust Engineering, but the game still won't let me harvest Adamantian, and says that I am missing the technology.

I don't have the version listed in my Steam Properties > Betas tab. There's a preview 1.0.3 and a fixamd 1.0.3; I tried preview 1.0.3 and it did not fix the problem. Other versions listed:

update0(0.1.3) - Early access

update1(0.1.23) - United empire

update2(0.2.5) - Horatio

update3(0.3.7) - Riftborn

I think those are early access versions of the game?

This bug is making my current game unwinnable. I was going to the obelisk victory, but I can't build obelisks without Adamantian. There is no Adamantian available on the market (and there hasn't been any there at any point in the game). One of the AI players has 4 Adamantian, but that's all, and that's not enough to build even one obelisk. :(

Not true,

I changed and started a new game, now green, red and violet ... didn't unlock !

So made a test and saved before I unlocked/researched green ...

beta version it didn't unlocked the mines, as it already destroyed my red and violett mines !

changed back to normal version, reloaded saved game before researching green AND IT UNLOCKED WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I now have 3 games, where there are different strategic resources are not mineable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and as they are needed for different winning conditions all games are unplayable, so wasted 3x around 200 turns

THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME !

Do you have at least a cheat, console command, so that I could unlock the research again until it let me use that strategic resource !

This bug reliably happens when you modify a custom Riftborn faction. You start with a hyperium deposit, but even with the technology you won't be able to mine the deposit. In at least one of my games there was another planet in the starting system with a hyperium deposit and that didn't mine either even after colonizing the planet.

no mine was the human civ (united empire) and as the OP said sometimes it unlocks, sometimes not !

NOW I know, that I have to save before the turn when that research is unlocking of any strategic resource

and if didn't unlock, restart and do it again and again or change to another version ...

Simply pointing out a reliable way to reproduce the same or a similar bug. Also pointing out where I ran into it. I'm also going to point out that the fixamd beta patch fixed the bug for me, so partial success there.

found the reason , when strategic resources didn't unlock ...

they need to be researched in an order that they work, same happens to command points ...

BLUE, YELLOW

after that you HAVE to research

RED, PINK

and only after that

GREEN and VIOLET

do it different and the strategic resources are not mineable !
