When playing the beginners first game the game will hang forever if you tey to view the system that has the academy on it. Confirmed on my laptop and desktop. I also tried the 1.06 preview and it still hangs.

I had the exact same problem, no matter how many times I reloaded.
The only way I could progress was to disable Discovery Cutscenes.
