The skill does not supply the +32% FIDSI bonus. But it does supply the additional +8 depletion points per turn.

Hi!

Thanks for spotting this. It gives a +32% FIDSI bonus on Undepleted planets, but was feedbacked incorrectly as "on Depleted planets".

Cheers,

I just ran into this myself... If you're tinkering with the phrasing, it looks to me like the +32% bonus is being applied to planets that are in the process of being depleted.

As it happens, I did a before-and-after look of a system while assigning the skill.  A planet that had never been depleted did not get the FIDSI bonus, and did not start being depleted.  Planets that were completely depleted did not get the bonus.  But a planet that had been partially depleted, and then the depletion had been stopped by removing Cravers from it, got the bonus and started being depleted again, even though there still were no Cravers on it.

That's a very good catch! Ideally it'd start depleting undepleted planet of course - I'll look into this. Cheers :)

Followup: when I reassigned the hero to a new system, THEN the undepleted planets THERE started being depleted, even though there was no Craver population on the planets.  So it's at least close to working as expected; just check the logic for the case of an never-depleted planet in a system where the governor gains the skill.

I had checked quickly on my side and didn't see any obvious problem. To be sure ; does the problem only arrive when 1) you have the governor on a system with no Cravers, & no planets that have started depleting 2) you then get the Endless consumption skill and it doesn't start depleting undepleted planets?

We're going to end up doing an Abbott and Costello routine...

I was playing as Horatio. I took over the Craver home world; I'm going to call it U, because that's the letter it started with.  It had four planets, which I'll call U I, U II, U III, and U IV.  The planet U I had never had Cravers on it; it had no depletion points.  U II had had Cravers on it briefly; it was partially depleted. U III and IV were fully depleted.  Within the system, there were Cravers living on U III and U IV. U II had once had Cravers on it, but I moved them off when I took over.  U I was colonized after I took over the system; it had never had Cravers on it.

U had a governor-- K.S. were his initials.  During his governance, K.S. leveled up and I give him the "Endless Consumption" skill.  The next turn, U I was not being depleted, and it got no FIDSI bonus (as compared to the previous turn.)  U II started being depleted again, and it got the bonus.  No change on U III and U IV.

I reassigned K.S. to another system, C, that had never had Cravers on it.  The next turn, all the planets in C were being depleted, and were getting the bonus.

Hence, the only inconsistent result was for the planet U I, a planet that had no depletion points, had never had a Craver population, and was under the rule of a governor WHEN he received the "Endless Consumption" skill.

Ok, thanks for the detailed repro!
