When making a custom faction, if the Riftborn visual affinity is selected the Maximize Exploitation technology will have "Colonize Terran" rather than "Colonize Lava", but the Riftborn visual affinity does not set which planets the custom faction can colonize without technology.

Meaning if you select Riftborn visual affinity and say Gene Splicer gameplay affinity, you will not be able to colonize lava worlds since Gene Splicer affinity does not grant Lava colonization as a "base world" you can colonize without tech.

I imagine there are probably also issues the other way around, with Continuum Sculptors giving lava colonization and other racial affinities then having no way to get Colonize Terran since it would only exist within the Riftborn visual affinity.

In other words, the bug here is that Maximize Exploitation's changes need to be under Continuum Sculptor and not Riftborn, in order for it to match up with beginning colonizable planet types offered by CS.

I have encountered this same issue, in exactly the same manner.

I don't know when the next patch is scheduled nor if it's going to be a general bugfix or a specific, targeted patch.. I'd ask a Producer but I don't see them right now, I don't know where they went :(
