Invastion manpower limit doesn't change

Description

I am invading system Mira and have 880 manpower on my ships.

Using the blitz tactic my deployment limit should be increased by 30% but it stays at 600 manpower.

The same goes for the orbital bombardment tactic which should reduce manpower deployment.

Look in saves.

Manpower deploy limit should adjust accordingly.

Mmh good catch!


I'll check the XML to see if it's the intended effect or if it's a problem with the text and then I'll log this bug in our database :)

Edit: It's indeed the intended effect, it's just not functional.

The change to deployable manpower is shown and seems to work when defending the planet and clicking "militia" or something among that line - the value is shown in brackets

No changes though when attacker ir selcting tactics


Also: Planetary bombardment sems to effect the attacker instead of the defender even when there are no defending ships in orbit and graphic also shows that attacker is bombarded

This is most likelly damage from defence structures that deal damage to attacking forces.

There are also minor factions that provide such damage.

There are defence structures in this game? I ony sas descriptions of mapower increasing and bunker like effects against bombardments

Though now that you mention it I did recall seeing a minor race that had a special combat effect agains invaders - would this be displayed the same way a planetary bombardment is displayed?


All these information should be available on the ground combat screen else how woudl you count for it or even recognise the mechanic in action - taking this over to Game Design
