I am the fanat of Endless Space, I played it a lot and even could win on the maximum difficulty without save/loading. So I was very happy when I see you decided to make Endless Space 2. I bought your game while it was in early access, try it for 10-15 mins (everything was fine, just was the lack of content) so decided to wait untill the release. After release I tried to play the game but it crushed already after I have to join main window of the game:

I tried everything - delete all steam files, delete Endless Space 2 and reinstall it, choose different steam settings (english/russian languages, switch on/off the synchronization with the steam), switch off the antivirus. Nothing helps. My system i5-4670K, GTX 680, 16 GB RAM, Windows 7.

We're investigating the issue :)

In the meantime you should try a wrokaround: launching the game with the -novideo parameter since your issue seems to stem from ffmpeg.dll which is a video-related file.

Glad I could help with a temporary solution until we find a definitive fix!

After reading today's devs notes in steam, I updated my k-lite codec pack to the new version and game begin to run without -novideo parameter. Seems I had a really old version (10.5.26 or something like that)

Yep for people having issue with ffmpeg.dll reading this thread: update your codec pack!
