Horatio bug/glych: infinite increase of production.

I very much hope that the developers will get acquainted with this topic and in the shortest possible time correct this misunderstanding.


Horatio has the ability: the produced food per turn * 0.1 = the produced influence per turn.


Let's see how it works.



Here is the system until the moment when 50 inhabitants of Horatio appeared.



After 2 moves, we got 50 inhabitants and the skill of Horatio for 50 inhabitants was activated. Something's wrong, right?


You can say that it is because of the technology «Super Biofuel Factory!»...



but it is not so.


If someone else does not understand how this all works, I will now explain:


It should be.


Horatio has the ability: the produced food per turn * 0.1 = the produced influence per turn.

 (155 food * 0.1 = 15.5 influences.)


How it works in fact. (Look at the pictures above)


Produced food * 0.1 and divided by two = influence (155 meals * 0.1 / 2 = 7.7 influences)


And also when the maximum population in the system (on colonized planets) is reached, all food is converted into production.



(I strongly ask you not to use it in the network game with what you will learn below)


Now let's move on to how to increase production indefinitely.



To begin with, you need to open an improvement to the "Super Biofuel Factory" and build it in the system.



After the construction, the food will be converted into production twice.



Next, you need to improve on the "Nanocuisine Plant" system, which you can get by quest.



This improvement in the system can be built only one per turn, but you can build each turn.


Outcome: Improvement of the system "Nanocuisine Plant" due to the double conversion of food gives +6 production per inhabitant at each construction.

So the bug is Nanocuisine Plant is able to be constructed more than once per System.


They way you stated the Stage 3 collection bonus for Horatio is correct, that is exactly how it is coded(I've looked) and I believe it is not a bug. The fact that Super Biofuel Factory stacks however might be unintended.

The Nanocuisine Plant issue is already corrected in internal builds, so  it will be added to an upcoming update. 


The dev team will be checking  population collection bonuses to balance them out better.
