craver captured ship bugged

so after reading Amplitures public apology and seeing a new hotfix was released I thought I'd go ahead and try starting a new game on the latest version in the hopes at least now I can play mostly properly.


captured the medium ship in the first craver event and was told to tow it back to my home system. when I did no new event popped up, so I thought maybe I was supposed to put in in my hangar. trying to do so caused stuff to really flip out and now the fleet with the medium ship in it as well as another fleet with a single basic fighting ship are both bugged and won't respond to anything. this persist across a save and reload so I've included the save file: omg bugged again.zip

I can't even capture the ship at all.


It is faster than my exploration ships, so I was unable to catch up with it to "capture" it by guarding a system.


Now the ship has parked itself in my home system and refuses to move. Since guarding the system where it is sitting doesn't work, it looks like this quest chain will never progress.

when the quest starts its position pings regularly and I saw it was moving vaguely towards my space so I just kept guarding/sieging over a minor faction next to me and basically caught me two birds with one fleet. there also was never a real battle so it seems a single scout ship just guarding somewhere is enough to capture it. 

but yeah, capturing a medium hull vessel when I can't build any class of ship other than colony ships and scout ships is pretty god damn OP and I would've hilariously facerolled my next door horatio neighbour (and probably a few more dudes) had the game not bugged out on me.
