1.011 Ground combat bugs?

Hey guys, glad to see this game finished and addicting as ever! There are a few bugs but for me seems mostly squashed, however there is one that is really immersion breaking for me and I can't seem to find a topic on it...


In 1.005 I noticed sometimes in ground combat my units (infantry/armor/air) are all displayed as 0% and invisible during battle. They function behind the scenes but fail to render when I choose to watch. I don't know if it's because I'm using custom factions but this bug I noticed pre-release as well. Not sure if this has been fixed recently, haven't had much testing yet.


In 1.011 (current version) I wonder why my ground unit sprites are all United Empire when I'm Riftborn - in the menu I can see they are supposed to look different but once battle commences they are all the boring UE units. Is this a bug? Is it related to custom factions (I didn't change visual affinity)? Does using chain gang for manpower recruit human units for some reason? Is using the dev console a bad idea?


Trying to isolate the issue :(

Does your unit visibility issue happen only with Custom Faction or does it sometimes occur with vanilla factions?


We'd need a litte bit more info to pinpoint what the individual issues are with the ground battle units visuals.

Hi, I did some more testing, I tried both custom and standard factions using Vodyani, Lumeris, Riftborn, and Unfallen. All have same issue. So I guess the custom factions aren't to blame. Also tried without using any tweaks on the dev console as well as avoiding the chain gang tech. The problem is very much more pronounced when using combined arms (i.e. infantry with tanks etc), where there's 2 scenarios:


1) The tanks don't show up at all, despite being shown on status bar

2) The tanks are not faction-specific (no mechs for Vodyani etc), but using a generic 6-wheel vehicle (is this the tanks for minor civs?)


I really wanted to see the Unfallen in action but I haven't seem on the ground yet due to this bug. 


Here's 2 savegames where I'm conveniently positioned to get attacked by the Cravers on the south-west, fleet ready to invade UE to the west, and invading Vodyani from the north, with infantry/tank tech, where the bug is 100% reproducable for me:

Ground combat in a 4x space strategy game is a godsend for me, so I really want this fixed asap please :)
