Frequently when i  quick load using ctrl+f8, a blue grid apears on the map. Reloading the game doesn't fix it,  exiting to desktop and then reloading does fix it, but then it can happen again in a future quick load.  It doesn't happen always, but quite frequently,  i'd say 3/5 or 4/5.  Honestly it looks like some kind of engine grid that is supposed to be hidden.
