Not sure how this happened, I started a battle, went advanced, chose turtle, decided to watch. 

I hit skip to action and then choose the overview but there was no detailed display in the battle (no lines, no health bars, etc.). I did not unfortunately think to take a screenshot of this. 

I hit space bar and the "scan" button in the fight screen (which was disabled) to try and get them back, and when the battle finished I was stuck on this: 

I was able to hit "esc" to bring up the menu and load an autosave. Unfortunately it was still broken, but the second time around the menu would not come up. CADed the game and loaded my save just fine. 

I'm 99% sure I didn't "disable" the AI with Shift-F10. 

Unsure if this matters, but I had no construction in one of my colonies (misbalanced my FIDSI). The problem happened on turn 66 in the system Ghykra when I attacked with "Expedition I."
