Description:

Hello, a game I am playing crashes now on every save file (all autosaves and custom saves) in the middle of loading.

This game was started with patch 1.0.19 and as such there has been no patch in between the creation of this game and it crashing. Game map size is maxed and I'm using a custom horatio faction.

Steps to Reproduce:

Attempt to load save, and I recieve the message 'EndlessSpace2.exe is no longer working.' with options 'Debug' and 'Quit Application'.

Reproducibility: 5/5

Expected Behavior:

I can load a save game and continue my game.

Version: 1.0.19

my custom saves also do not work.

I am wondering if this bug is reproducable on other PCs or if it's specific to my set up. Unfortunately it kills my ability to play large multi-day games so I'm unsure what I can do.

I have:

1. Verified file integrity in steam
2. Ran with and without dx10 launch option
3. Ran in compatibility mode for windows 7 and without (windows 10)

I have not completely deleted / reinstalled the game.

UPDATE: I completely reinstalled the game, restarted the computer and attempted to reload the save this did not work.

I also attempted creating new game / loading saved game as suggested in another thread. This actually worked!

So I conclude that Quick Start -> Load game is the current fix for people like me desperate to continue a large game that's unfinished and crashing for no reason.
