Currently the Vodyani Visual affinity gives atleast Emporer's Will Game play affinity ships that start with essence syphon modules on them. I don't know exactly if it's a bug or just something maybe that's been missed.

I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean exactly..? Vodyani have Ship they shouldn't have?

When playing any Game Play Affinity with the Vodyani Visual Affinity, the Starting Scout Ships still have an essence drain module on them in place of an engine. Regardless of the fact that the Game Play affinity not being Vodyani and not having access to the Essence Resource.
