Vodyani unable to conquer Unfallen colonies

Description:

After a decisive victory on the ground battle against an Unfallen colony, the system appears to continue to be sieged and under the ownership of the Unfallen. The Vodyani can no longer initiate another ground battle because it says a colony must exist there. It's in a weird state. The vines remain as well. I imagine this is due to the whole hunting grounds mechanic for the Vodyani.

Steps to Reproduce:

The attached save file is several turns after the decisive ground victory, but you can see the odd state that it is in now and the game is setup to attempt another ground battle on their home colony.

1. Load the attached save game. Mod attached (only updates overcolonization threshold)

2. Play as blue.

3. There is a war with the Unfallen. They only have 2 systems. The system that is not their home planet is the system that I had my decisive ground battle victory.

4. Note the odd state.

5. Play some turns and win a ground battle against their home planet.

Expected Behavior:

On decisive victory, I expect the colony to be under my control and the vines to have disappeared. If the Unfallen were able to revine the system, I'd expect them to be able to reclaim the system with the progress from hunting grounds like any other race.

were you at war, or using the cold war invasion skill from the religious party law? I had something similar happen but was playing Horatio with a religious dictatorship, with both a riftborn and an unfallen colony I was invading, it would let me invade, show a decisive victory, then immediately popped up another notification letting me know they had just taken it back. I assumed they bought out the pacific conversion as soon as I had control but before their influence faded, since that takes a few turns

I was/still am at war with them.

I haven't had this problem conquering other races with the Vodyani, so I think this is specific to the vine mechanic vs the way Vodyani render colonies as hunting grounds.
