I'm running ES2 V1.0.25, in the following video setup:   NVidia Geforce 9800 GT (Dual Monitor),  DirectX 12, Windows 10.  NVidia is configured for app 3D rendering and use of the video card GPUs.

So here's the problems:   1.  Sometimes text will disapear, sometimes graphics (like planets, heroes, ships, etc) will disappear, sometimes [in dialog boxes] video presentation will rapidly flicker with bright lines], and video will freeze from time to time.    The only recover I can accomplish is to stop the game via the task manager and restart.  

Ideas?  Help?

Thanks for your report. Did you try to update your graphic card drivers? What is your Video Setup in game?
Could you upload your diagnostics files and the Output logs?

• Diagnostic files (located by default under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Documents\Endless Space 2\Temporary Files" -- for Mac users: "User/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/Endless Space 2/Temporary Files") and select the correct file by looking at the name like "Diagnostics - 2016'10'11 @1407'46''" that gives you the date and hour which should correspond to a save file)
• Output logs (one output_log.txt located under Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space 2 in a folder named in the YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS format created in case of crash and one in the EndlessSpace2_Data folder -- for Mac users User/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log )
