Riftborn Custom Faction with Involuntary Nomads can't finish Faction Quest

I have a custom faction with the Riftborn pop and the Involuntary Nomads trait.

I reached the second part of the first quest chapter and can't seem to finish it, no matter what I do.

The quest itself says:


Chapter 1. Beachhead - Part 2

"Colonize a new System and raise its *SCIENCE* to 60"


I tried everything, from colonizing a system to conquering one, but whenever science reaches 60+, it doesn't trigger the quest as completed.


My assumption is, that it's the "Involuntary Nomads" trait, that doesn't seem to work well with custom factions.

Or at least, it doesn't count the action the colonizing ship does as "colonizing".

It worked without such issues before I added the Involuntary Nomads trait to my custom faction.


V1.2.4 is the Version I'm playing on.


I don't use any mods that somehow affect Factions, but I still list which ones I used:

"Terraform Away", "Endless Romance" and "Rebalanced Luxuries (And All Luxuries in Galaxy)".

4 years later, this bug still exist... Really happy to be stuck after +15h of playing.


EDIT : I saw it was reported here too 3 years ago, taken in charge, but it seems the bug wasn't solved since then:

I used only two cosmetic mods (changing the available colors of empires and the colors of heroes' ships), and I'm playing with custom Riftborn (Involuntary Nomads trait + metafolding, among other custom skills).
