Hey,

I haven't seen this acknowledged anywhere, I reported this during the Penumbra beta. Penumbra introduced a graphical glitch: when ships arrive at a system the little parking slot appears before they even enter it, creating a clunky animation.

I know it's not something game breaking but this is something that needs to be looked at.

I always liked how smooth ES2 looked and played and this has been bugging me personally ever since the beta.

I thought I was going mad!

Yes, something got broken in the animation. It's really a bit ugly now.

Let's bump this up!

Also, since Penumbra beta, the probes that scout ships send down to the planets now randomly come from different directions other than the ship itself sometimes.

I cannot produce a bug report for that, you literally have to play the game to come across it, it happens in every session I play.

Probes also lost their launch sound.

You mean the scout probes you send out on the map? I didn't notice that.

Yes, we're very much aware of this. I'm afraid that compared to some of the other bugs we need to tackle, this has lower priority, though, so I can't make any promises about a fix.

If you newer fix "low priority" problems, eventually game becomes riddled with them. That's basically already happening. Just look at reviews people leave on Steam.

Steam 'reviews'are not to be trusted. But i do agree about the minor bugs. Even low priority bugs should be tackled eventually.

I am saying that people on steam find a flaw, and immediately give a thumbs down.

I looked at the reviews, and some only played for 10-30 hours.

Every game is in equal conditions. I don't agree with 95% of negative reviews, but that doesn't mean they are baseless, unless it's a review bomb. Reviews often show a trend. People either like the product and would recommend it or they don't.

This is what I have been saying. He is telling people to shut up and like the product even if it has bugs that annoy them and stop their enjoyment of the game.

And simply not trusting Steam reviews is taking a very one dimensional stance. Are all Steam reviews baseless? Even the ones you agree with? And if they are all baseless does it mean that the games you find align with your take that get overall positve reviews are actually terrible and should not be bought? You cannot have it both ways.

I am not telling people to shut up. And i am not looking for a fight. I just look at it from another perspective, that is to not immediately bomb a game, that has some bugs.

I also told you you, yes it has bugs. But they are fixable. Don't narrow down what i meant in my place. Thank you.

All is good.

This is a real shame. It's quite an annoying visual glitch. I don't play with a lot of the expansions enabled, so this bug feels like the game has got materially worse than when I first bought it.
