Normally only the laboratory (forgot the name) could be double built.

Now with the Preview patch:

It happens a lot, it seems only supermarkets, Xeno-industry, Sustainable farms, public private and Magnetic are involved.

Not all planets have this problem.

I didn't start a new game, just continued an old one.

When you say you continued an old save, am I right in understanding that you continued a 1.5.3 save on 1.5.5?

Yes. Is that the problem then?

It happens on systems that were of the Academy.

It is as you said, the game started before the 1.5.5. patch.

To my recollection only Academy systems were involved, this is not 100%

And not all systems were involved.
