I started a game with Sophons recently and noticed that even if I had UE as one of my enemies Xenolinguistics still received no Omniscience penalty.

My uncertainty is because it might not be a unique tech and just a tech that has faction specific rewards.

When you're playing you don't notice a difference, but it's a bit annoying when modding, as you can't trade faction exclusive techs.
