Game crashes when loading a saved game.

I am playing Endless Space 2 with my Xbox Game Pass on my PC (not through steam or anything).

Summary / Title: Game crashes when loading a saved game.
Description: I've started playing as the Unfallen and after a while (turn 114) when I needed to quit, I saved the game under a random name. When I got back to it I tried loading the saved game, it reached the "Game launching" stage ("Connecting to server" -> "Launching game" -> "Game launched") and the game just exited (almost immediatly), simply shut down, no crash report or anything popped up. I tried then loading any of the previous autosaves (turn 113 and prior) but all ended up crashing at the same point.
This was the first time I tried to load a previously saved game (or even just save a game).
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save game. 2. Exit game. 3. Launch game and load saved game.
Reproducibility: 5/5
Expected Behavior: Game loads successfuly.
Version: Latest on the Microsoft store - V1.5.26 S5 Gold-Public
Notes: My specs should manage the game with ease:
Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB RAM, Sapphire RX 5700XT Pulse. Ihave enough free storage. There was no over-heating problem (CPU didn't even reach 70C), the CPU wasn't overloaded, nothing in particular (besides Chrome) was running in the background. I was playing for several hours and had no problems whatsoever with the game. I tried reinstalling the game twice.

A new update for Endless Space 2 just came out. It may have broken your save. If you want to finish that playthrough before updating see if you can roll back to the previous version. I don't know how to do that on Microsoft store. On Steam you go to properties then betas, then opt into an older version.

I loaded the saved game on the same day, I don't remeber having to update the game in between. Is there a wy to check under which version was the game saved?

Update:

I have saved a (new) game, after 100 turns, quit game (didn't exit the game) and loaded that same game with the same problem - the game exited before launching (only with more stages).

This is something specific to the Game Pass version of the game. Other people have mentioned problems with localizations that aren't part of the Steam release.

Edit: For what it's worth, your saves load fine on Steam and latest version.
