I reinstalled Endless Space 2 on a fresh OS (win10, 2080 gtx, i9) in the past month and I get image issues, some.

First the intro logos do not play at all, it stays on a black screen until I click to skip and begin loading.

The more frustrating one, is there is no animation for colonizing planets. Which is not game breaking, but just not enjoyable without.
Upon colonizing (new systems), I get a gray screen. No sound, and like the boot-up missing logo screens, it stays there until I skip it...
Ideas? I appreciate input.
Re-installing didn't work, verified files multiple times no success. Not sure what to try.

Downloaded k-lite mega codec pack on the same drive as the game. Opened and closed it.
Went to try game. No change at startup so I assumed it did not change the colonizing animation. Thanks for attempt. 
Graphics driver up to date.
